Sakura was going to be late that day. It was something she had declared last night. She knew she wouldn't be able to do it, but that doesn't mean she couldn't try. She was already dressed, and had already eaten breakfast... school didn't start for another hour.

She had been raised this way, waking up early and perfecting everything. Though she's always wanted to do something unlike her. Something that would disappoint everyone that was counting on her to do everything perfect.

She had been trying for the longest time, yet never succeeding... But she knew somehow she would be able to pull it off.

Naruto could feel his little sisters pulling at his cover, he was guessing that he had to wake up.

“Onii-chan! Wake-up,” Now his twin sisters, Kyoko and Kagami, were pulling at his hair.

“Okay, okay, I'm up! I'm up,” Naruto said coming out out of the covers.

“Onii-chan! Kaa-san said that she'll get mad at you if you don't get up and go to the kitchen right now,” Kyoko said trying to make it so her voice would scare Naruto and make him go faster, it didn't work. It just wouldn't with her high voice.

Kyoko and Kagami ran out of the room together so that Naruto would get dressed. They really didn't have to leave, but it always thought they had to when Naruto was changing, even though they were siblings. So Naruto changed into his school uniform, which was just expensive looking pants with a white oxford.

Naruto walked into the kitchen, only to be greeted by a pancake flying at his face, he dodged it easily.

“Naru-chan, you're no fun at all!” His mother complained. His mother was really childish, just like Naruto, Kyoko, and Kagami. His father was a bit like him too, but not as much as his mother is.

“Ohayo, Onii-sama.” Hoshi, Naruto's 12-year-old sister, said calmly from the breakfast table. Hoshi was the strangest one out of the entire family, she was... quiet, while everyone else in the family was loud, and hyper. But Naruto and Hoshi had a strong relationship, considering they were the oldest siblings.

“Ohayo, Hoshi.”

“Kushina, I'm going,” Naruto's father told his mother as he walked in the room. He was the head of a really big company that not even his children know the name of. He had been working there before Naruto was born, but he doesn't know how long before that. He was a very busy man, but he was still able to keep his family together with family activities. Naruto and him had a pretty normal father-son relationship, but maybe a little stronger, due to the fact they were the only “men” in the household.

“Ok, Minato. Say bye to the kids,” Kushina kissed Minato on the cheek.

“You don't have to tell me,” Minato walked toward the breakfast table. “Okay kids! I'm leaving!”

Kyoko and Kagami rushed up to him and hugged him. Hoshi carefully scooted out of the chair and gave her father a light hug. Naruto just waved from his seat. Minato waved back. And then he left.

Sakura gave her father a hug, gave him his lunch, and he was off to work. Sakura always hated it when he left for work, she knew he would be back at the end of the day, but she felt like that was a long way away. Sakura and her father had a very close relationship, they've always had.

Once Sakura couldn't see her father anymore she went to the kitchen where her mother was. “So Sakura-chan, are you nervous?”

“Nervous? Why would I be nervous?”

“Well, it is your first day at the new school. Shouldn't you be nervous?”

“Oh right... I completely forgot that I was going there.” Her mother knew she hadn't forgotten. Sakura just didn't like talking about it, she was still sad that she had to leave her other school. Also she was changed into her new uniform, which was a bigger give away. Her father had gotten a promotion, so her mother thought that she should go to a school that was worth her knowledge, Sakura was a genius.

Sakura didn't want to leave all of her friends, the one's she had taken so long to make. She was nervous. Very nervous.

Naruto, Kyoko, Kagami, and Hoshi walked up the sidewalk towards their schools. Naruto always wondered why they walked. I mean his family had several cars, and was very wealthy, they had the house to prove it.

He guesses it was because the entire Namikaze family, Naruto had his mother's last name because... well you know what!? I don't know, he just does. Anyway, he guesses it was because the entire Namikaze/Uzumaki family was very athletic, even the different Hoshi. They loved to just run around the house, anything.

Sakura had her mother drive her to school today, every other day she'll be walking. But today was special. She knew she was going to not like walking to school, she had gotten enough exercise from walking to her old school. Her mother had to work, as well.

Naruto dropped off Kyoko and Kagami off at their school. Then he walked with Hoshi to he school, which was right next door to his high school.

“Bye, Onii-sama.” Hoshi said timidly.

“Bye, Hoshi.”

Then she ran to the gate where her friends were waiting for her. Naruto went next door, and through the gate to his school. Then he walked to his locker, and smiling at anyone who said hi to him. At his locker he put his books up and went to his first period class which was basketball, an elective.

To his surprise, Kiba was already there, he usually got there late. Then he motioned Naruto over to him. Naruto ran to him.

“Check this out,” Kiba ordered Naruto. Kiba shot the ball into the hoop ten times in a row, not missing a single one. Basketball wasn't Kiba's best sport, Hockey was. Actually Kiba sucked at basketball, but he somehow made it on the team. Naruto still thinks he bribed the coach.

“That's good, why didn't you do that during the actual season?,” Basketball season was already over, but they still practiced and played around, it was more like P.E, just P.E. was probably considered to be more fun. Naruto liked both.

Sakura walked slowly to her locker, no one was waving to her, nothing. She put her books up, and walked to her first period which was chorus, she didn't really want to be in chorus, but it was the only thing left. She wasn't looking forward to it. People told her she had a good voice, and was forced several times to be in a choir, but she never like singing. She wasn't really even big into music. People probably thought she was strange because of that, but she hoped that people at this school would be different.

Naruto had always loved the time after first period where people could just hang out or do the homework that they hadn't finished the night before. People could also just listen to their MP3 players, and it wouldn't get taken up!

It was also the only time of the day in school where you could get a little more intimate with the opposite sex . All the other times you would get a detention. There was always one person who would be making out, cuddling, or just leaning on each others shoulders. Naruto has done all of these things during this period.

Naruto had had plenty of girlfriends, not at the moment though. He's gone out with all of them, or most of them.

Yeah, Naruto was 'opular', but mostly because he was on every single team the school had, well not the girl ones. His friends were also on most of the teams as well, except Shikamaru and Chouji. Shikamaru wasn't on the teams because he was way too lazy to pick up a damn ball and throw it at... anything. And Chouji was a little... out of shape.

But his best friend, Kiba Inuzuka, was on all of the teams as well. Kiba wasn't too good at all of the sports. But he could kick some serious ass in hockey. Naruto could kick ass in every sport, except hockey. They were basically two peas in a pod.

One thing that everyone mistook was that Naruto is smarter then Kiba, Actually, Naruto is dumb enough for Kiba to tutoring him, and Kiba wasn't that smart. Naruto was barely passing his classes, if it weren't for sports he would just not give a damn. At all.

Then there was Rock Lee. Rock Lee was his senpai, but still his friend. And then there was Neji Hyuuga. Neji was also his sempai, they weren't too close of friends, but Neji was in some of sports, so they tended to see each other a lot.

Sakura so far had made no friends, at all. Though, this one girl name Hinata Hyuuga was staring at her. Maybe she would be her friend. Then all the other people were pretty much just avoiding her. Then there was Ino Yamanaka. She basically screamed popular. Sakura's goal was to be friends with her.

Sakura was hoping that this next period, that was supposed to be for just hanging out, would give her a bigger view of her “competition.”

Sakura knew that she wouldn't have too much trouble finding a guy. She was pretty popular with them at her old school. So she guessed she was considered hott. But she was more into finding a friend, not a boyfriend. She had never had a boyfriend before, she had always denied the offers she had before, but now she would accept them, now that knowledge wasn't her first priority.

Naruto walked into the cafeteria and sat down at the normal table to wait for Kiba. But before Kiba got there, a mob of girls came and surrounded Naruto. It happened every time one of Naruto's friends was single, that was applied for Naruto as well. Kiba just avoided the mob and sat down next to Naruto.

“Why did you chose to be single again?” Kiba whispered to Naruto.

“Because, there's no one here that seems to be what I'm looking for.”

“You just want to get in their pants. And I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem for you.”

Naruto just stared at Kiba, that used to be the case, now Naruto's a bit more mature. Yep, he matured over the weekend, well it was a long weekend.

“I know you well my friend.” Kiba said with a bit of accomplishment in his voice.

“What it's not like you don't either.”

“Very true, Naruto. But at least I have a bit of self-control.”

“What you talking about?”

“You basically sleep with first girl you see.”

“And you don't?”

“Yep.”

“Uh-huh.” Naruto said sarcastically.

Then Naruto turned away from Kiba, and found a pink-haired girl reading a book. She was pretty cute, and not all over him, which was a bonus. She was even new. Naruto knew all of the girls. He decided to make a move.”

“Hey dog-boy, I'll be right back.”

“Oh no! He's at it again” Kiba was laughing at his own joke.

Naruto rolled his eyes at Kiba, and walked towards the girl. He sat right next to her.

“Sooo, are you new?” He already knew the answer.

The girl snapped her head up and answered “Y-yeah.”

“How are you?”

“Good.”

“That's good. What book are ya' reading?”

“Maximum Ride.”

“I haven't read that book before, maybe I should read it,” Then Naruto looked at the size of the book. “Well, maybe not.”

A smile appeared on her face, but then she covered it with her hand.

“Now, why did you do that? You're smile is amazing.” Naruto grabbed her wrist and gently pulled it to the table, not letting go of her wrist. She snatched her arm from Naruto's grasp. A blush appeared on her face, but then quickly faded.

“W-why are you talking to me?” She said still feeling a bit nervous.

“Because I'm trying to be nice.” Naruto said immediately.

“Why?”

“'Cause I wanna be your friend.”

“Oh really?”

“Yeah.”

“What's your name?” She said as if she was interrogating Naruto.

“Naruto Uzumaki. You?”

“Sakura Haruno.”

“You have a beautiful name,” Naruto said waiting for a blush to appear on her face, but it didn't. Dammit. “Well, Sakura-chan, let me see your schedule, maybe we have a few classes together.”

Sakura fumbled through her bag and found the schedule. She handed him it to him. Naruto looked over it carefully. And then handed it back to her.

“What a coincidence we have all of the same classes, except for 1st, 3rd, and 5th,” He exclaimed, he actually was, truly, happy.

“Really?,” Naruto could she that she was happy too.

“Well, would you like to meet some of my friends?”

“Sure...” Sakura was pretty unsure.

So Naruto motioned Sakura in the direction of Kiba, so they walked toward him. At the time he was kissing Hinata Hyuuga, Neji's cousin. They've been going out for a while, it was defiantly longer than any of the relationships Naruto had had.

“Oi, Kiba!” Naruto shouted to his friend.

Kiba stopped the kiss to yell at Naruto. “I'm busy!”

Sakura didn't know that you were aloud to get anymore intimate than holding hands at this school.

“Come on! I want you to meet someone!”

“Fine! Who is it?,” Kiba turned around. Then he saw Sakura. “Naruto, you work fast.”

“Wha-What No, no , no she's just a new girl who was sitting by herself.”

“Hi! You're Sakura, right? We have the same first period. I'm Hinata Hyuuga,” Hinata said from behind Kiba.

“Oh yeah, I'm Sakura, as you know...”

“Umm... you 2 are in the same class?” Kiba asked Hinata. Hinata nodded.

“Well, only in choir, I think.” Hinata hadn't checked Sakura's schedule, so she wasn't sure.

Then the bell rang. Sakura looked at Naruto, Naruto realized that she didn't know where any of her classes were. “Sakura-chan? Would you like me to walk you to your classes.”

Sakura nodded.

Sakura could feel Naruto staring at her as he was walking her to her 2nd period class, well actuallytheir 2nd period class. He probably liked her already, usually she would try and get him to not like her but, Sakura could tell that she was falling for him, little by little. It was her first time, falling in love.

Naruto couldn't stop thinking about Sakura, and not the kind of way he usually thought about girls-you don't wanna' know. But it's not that he didn't want to do the same things he did with other girls, just not at the moment, he wanted to take his time and actually get to know her. (A/N: Behold the new and improved Naruto!!!!!!)

He really wanted to prove that guys and girls could be friends, but after a while Naruto will probably not be able to control himself. He also wanted to prove to Kiba that he wasn't a man whore. But mostly, he wanted a functioning relationship like Kiba's. Naruto had never had a relationship that lasted a month, he was always the one to break up with them. Naruto wanted someone who would complete him, like someone who could be the brains, while Naruto was the strength.

Naruto and Sakura arrived at their 2nd period class, which was English. A class Naruto was actually passing, well he was barely passing. Naruto wasn't a big fan of homework. Sakura could already tell that this class would be a breeze, just by the atmosphere of the classroom. Though she was a bit worried about Naruto, he didn't seem very bright. She could probably offer to tutor him, it would defiantly help the whole friendship thing, and maybe she could get close to guy, as in a boyfriend type of way.

“Sakura-chan,” Sakura snapped her head towards Naruto. “Sorry, but you'll have to wait here 'till sensei gets here. So I won't be able to sit next to you. Is that okay?” Naruto really wanted to sit next to Sakura, but it would be a miracle if sensei moved Ino from the seat next to him. he wouldn't mind it though, Ino got on his nerves, even though they were considered to be the “erfect couple.” He hated it when people said that, though Ino always smiled when she heard that. Ino was just like every other girl in the school, wanting to get into Naruto's pants.

“Hey, Sexy!” Speak of the devil. Ino walked up to Naruto's desk and sat down on the end of it.

“May I help you?,” Naruto asked Ino in a sarcastic voice.

“Oh come on, when are you going to fall under my Spell of Sexy-ness?”

“Spell of Sexy-”

“Yes, Spell of Sexy-ness. Besides, we are the perfect couple. I mean, you're the hottest guy, and I'm the hottest chick. It's a given that we were meant to be together. And now that Sasuke moved away I don't---”

“Don't ever say that name!,” Naruto yelled at Ino. “Now, stop being a slutty bitch and sit your ass down!”

“Now, I can see how people think we are a perfect couple.” Ino said as she sat down.

“What do you--”

“We're both not afraid to show our anger when we're annoyed. We also both have devious minds, that when they're put together, we make a plan that could ruin anybody's---”

“I can also see how we're different too. I would never do any of the things that you would do. I am a nice person, I've always thought of other people before myself. I prefer to give than take.” Naruto was confident in his comeback.

“That's strange that you would think that, 'cause you're the richest person at this private school.”

“Don't call me rich, and shut the hell up. You've already ruined my day enough.” Ino actually did shut up, to Naruto's surprise. How could he make it so that Sakura wouldn't get upset with him, because he was mad. and usually Naruto took his anger out on other people.

He looked across the room to see that sensei had already given Sakura a seat and was now sitting at her desk. Sakura's desk was on the complete other side of the room. He could tell that this wasn't going to be a good day.

And he was right. He didn't have Sakura for third period. Then for fourth period Sakura was talking to Hinata the entire time. At lunch, he didn't get to talk to her because TenTen was interrogating her. No Sakura for 5th period because she was in the advanced Algebra class, while he could barely do Algebra at all. Then he learned in 6th period he would have to do a project that sounded like it was hella' hard, and he doesn't know who his partner is. Then in P.E. he ran into the bleachers while trying to catch the ball, so he got a cut in his hand when he was trying to break the fall. And in 8th period he had to much of a headache that he couldn't pay attention to what the teacher was saying so he would probably fail the test that was coming up. And on top of that, he forgot to Sakura's number.

So he just watched her as she drove away in her mom's car and headed towards her sister's school.

Sakura thought that it was a great day. Even though she didn't get to talk to Naruto very much. Nor was she able to suggest the tutoring. But she was able to make some good friends, Hinata and TenTen. They both had boyfriends, for Hinata it was Kiba and for TenTen it was Neji Hyuuga, Hinata's cousin. She was still bummed that she didn't have a boyfriend, but that's what Naruto was for.

Naruto had seen her blush, so now Sakura would make Naruto blush, just how was the question. A lot of people say that they don't blush, but Sakura thought that everyone blushed, just some people never really had the chance to show it.

Hoshi, Kyoko, Kagami, and Naruto walked through the front gate of their house. Naruto was exhausted, and on top of that Kyoko and Kagami wanted to play with him. He told them that he was tired but they didn't listen.

“Onii-sama, if you want I'll play with them. You do look like you could use a nap,” Hoshi said quietly.

“Thanks, Hoshi. You're a life saver. I could use a nice 5 hour nap.”

“That wasn't the time of nap I was talking about, but it's good for you to sleep.”

Naruto left his sisters in the back yard where all the sport-stuff was. Then he went up to his room. He turned on AFI and let every muscle in his body relax until he was able to drift away into a deep sleep.
